Task 10 - Learning English British Council - Randi Ali Pradana - 3SA09
CAPITAL LETTERS AND APOSTRHOPHES
in Learning English British Council web, i found a lesson about Capital Letters and Apostrophes. In this section i learned about how to use the capital letters and apostrophes. for example, we use capital letters to start a sentence or for the pronoun, we capitalise days of the week, months, and festivals, but not seasons. we capitalise the names of people and places, including streets, planets, continents, and countries. The names of organisations and usually the importants words in book and film tittles are capitalised
For apostrophes, we use it to show a contraction or posession. we use an apostrophes to show there are missing letters in contraction for example on word it's (it's = it is/it has). we also use an apostrophe with the letter s after a noun to show that the noun owns someone or something and we use 's when the posessor is singular
