  1. How did the young man solve the problem of not having workout equipment in his apartment? by buying a brand-new treadmill and setting it up in his living room.
  2. What did the young man notice when he walked around his new neighborhood?he noticed many apartments with "vacancy" signs in the windows.
  3. How did the young man’s neighbor react to him using the treadmill? Tom's neighbor reacted negatively to him using the treadmill. She scowled at him and told him that running on the treadmill at all hours of the day and night was bothering the whole building.

Because the are so many cultural differences beetween each others like Noise and Quiet Hours, Personal space boundaries, and Communication style and from that we have to respect each other moreover we live in shared living space
  2. Is bringing workout equipment into a shared living space appropriate without consulting your roommates or neighbors first? Why or why not?Regarding bringing workout equipment into a shared living space, it's generally not appropriate to do so without consulting roommates or neighbors first. Because Shared living spaces involve shared responsibilities and considerations. Bringing in workout equipment can impact the shared space, and consulting others shows respect for their needs and preferences. And also Workout equipment, like a treadmill, can be noisy and disruptive, as seen in Tom's case. Without consulting others, it's challenging to strike a balance between personal fitness routines and the peace and quiet required in shared spaces.
  3. What strategies could Tom have used to avoid disturbing his neighbor with his treadmill use? Tom could have introduced himself to his neighbor when he moved in and informed her about his fitness routine and the times he planned to use the treadmill. Tom also could have chosen a quieter treadmill model or placed a noise-reducing mat underneath to minimize the impact on neighbors.
  4. How can tenants balance their personal needs and desires with the needs and desires of their roommates or neighbors in a shared living space? Balancing personal needs and desires with those of roommates or neighbors in a shared living space involves open communication, empathy, and compromise
